About Jennifer JonesMy advanced clinical training and over 20 years of practice have prepared me to assist clients with a variety of problems including self-esteem, depression, anxiety, trauma, chronic illness, ADHD, grief and transitions through the life cycle. I have an extensive background working with clients on healing and repair from recent and past psychological trauma, and have become very passionate about assisting individuals, couples and families with healthy attachments.

I believe that we all possess the strengths necessary to shift thoughts, feelings and behaviors in order to meet our full potential. I have great respect for my clients’ willingness to be vulnerable on their journey of self-awareness, growth, healing and empowerment.
I began as a clinician trained in play therapy, and worked with children with developmental delays as a result of physical, sexual abuse and neglect. After years of working with parents and collateral agencies and organizations, I became interested in systems-oriented therapy and working with adults and couples in addition to children and families.
I opened my private practice in 2002. I had the good fortune of meeting a leading psychologist in Austin at a workshop in 2005, and joined one of her advanced training and supervision groups on emotionally focused therapy with couples and individuals; where I continue to learn and grow as a therapist. I value and truly enjoy continuing my education about the best treatment approaches on emotion focused therapy with individuals and couples, parent-child and adult attachment relationships, and ADHD.
